inhibit (ongoing) (personal project)

Inhibit is my longform webcomic about teenagers with superpowers. It started in January 2015 and updates every Wednesday.

As a kid, Victor dreamed of training to be a superhero. That didn't go so well.
Now, nine years later, Victor is a resident at the Earl Estate, a home for kids who haven't yet demonstrated that they can control their powers. With his 18th birthday - and a transfer - only a few weeks away, he has one last chance to prove he is capable enough to receive his licence and go home to a normal life. But when he most needs things to go smoothly for once, everything starts to go wrong, and he finds himself tangled in the plot of a mysterious arsonist...

Inhibit can be read for free at A campaign to make a print edition of the first five chapters successfully funded on Kickstarter in February 2019.

Inhibit: Book One was shortlisted for three categories in the 2019 SICBA awards: Best Graphic Novel (for which it received runner up), Best Writer, and Best Up & Coming Talent.

Orange plates (2018) (personal project)

Orange Plates is a 24 page comic exploring themes of isolation and queer identity. It was produced as a dissertation project for a Comics & Graphic Novels (Design) Masters degree. With this project, I challenged myself to create a comic entirely out of my comfort zone - that is, a comic drawn traditionally, in black and white, and without dialogue.

Print copies of Orange Plates can be bought here and digital PDFs can be bought here.

afterlife inc (2018)

An eighteen page chapter drawn for Volume 5 of the webcomic Afterlife Inc. The chapter can be read here.

Script by Jon Lock, lettering by Lucy Lock

Eve's work on Afterlife Inc. was nothing short of phenomenal. Their line work is clean and uncluttered, yet carries a weight that hits home where it matters - be it the subtle emotion in a look or a pose, or sudden bursts of desperate energy. Eve effortlessly stepped into a pre-established world, doing the characters justice while also putting their own stamp on things. Before Eve's involvement, this was a script that I liked; once they were done, it was a story that I loved. Eve's skills and talent were never in question, and they delivered truly excellent artwork on time, to spec and with flair. Cannot recommend enough.
